Starsound Studios now offers the convenience of Dolby Atmos Studio, where we can mix your music in Atmos. Imagine your song surrounding you from all sides and above, a fresh way of presenting your material. With Spotify, Apple TV, and others now streaming in Atmos and most cell phones defaulting to Atmos, you can even listen directly from your phone with spatial audio headphones. We've made it easy for you to experience this cutting-edge technology, right at your fingertips.
Dolby Atmos, a format that has been a part of the film industry for many years, is yet to be fully embraced in the audio industry. It's a unique speaker format that surrounds the listener, identified by numbers like 7.1. The first number signifies the speakers around the listener, while the second denotes a subwoofer, adding depth to the audio experience. This exclusive technology is now available for you to experience at Starsound Studios.
Its unique numbering system sets Dolby Atmos apart from traditional surround sound. For example, a Dolby Atmos setup might include a third number, 7.1.4. This third number represents the height speakers, a key component of Dolby Atmos. To put it into perspective, Starsound Studios has a 9.1.4 Dolby Atmos system. The numbering system means they have nine speakers around the listening position, a subwoofer for the low end, and four height speakers, all working together to create a truly immersive audio experience. In simpler terms, the more numbers, the more speakers, and the more immersive the sound.
